ArcView Assignment #3 (50 points)
Due Date: Tuesday - November 21, 2000
Using the data provided with the ArcView GIS 3.2 software, develop an ArcView project that includes a view displaying two themes: the counties of the State of New York and the cities of the State with populations of 100,000 or more (according to 1990 data). The names of these cities must be displayed in the view using the "Auto-Label..." option under the "Theme" pull-down menu (accessible from the top menu bar). The two themes in the view corresponding to the "Cities.shp" and "Counties.shp" files should be labeled as "Cities (pop.>100,000)" and "Counties", respectively.
Your project file should be forwarded as a file attachment to the instructor (email@example.com) via e-mail. The subject of the e-mail should read "ArcView Assignment#3". Your project file (having an extension ".apr") should bear your last name followed by the number 3 as a project name (e.g., my project will be named shayya3).
