Homework assignments are taken from the Workbook that accompanies textbook.  It includes matching terminology with coding, as well as problem solving within coding scenarios (determining primary codes to be used within scenarios).

Midterm, Quizzes and Final Exam – any codes and terminology utilized within the Chapters previously covered (as outlined above).  Short answer questions will also be included on these quizzes so as to strengthen student’s medical vocabulary and terminology.

Attendance is expected at all class sessions. Penalties procedures for not attending class stipulate that if you miss more than 3 (three) classes, for any reason, you may be asked to withdraw from the class or you may be given an automatic F.  Please note, if you are late for class, it is your responsibility to ensure that the instructor has marked you present in class at the end of that session. Your attendance for that day will be added; however, it will be noted as a Late Arrival.  The student should contact the instructor in advance when an absence is necessary.  The student is responsible for all material covered and assignments given when absent from class will still be due within the original homework due date.  (No homework extensions are granted due to class absence.)  You may go to www.eclass.morrisville.com (or go to Morrisville’s homepage and click on WebCT link) to get homework assigned for that day.  Passwords are the same as what you type in to log into the campus system.
