Upon completion of this course, a student will:
· Demonstrate knowledge of content/vocabulary of various documents relating to specific business fields.
· Improve upon decision making/problem-solving skills
· Demonstrate the production of a final mailable transcription in a timely manner
· Apply their knowledge of language skills when transcribing document
· Improve upon their listening and following instructions skills
· Produce a variety of documents with special formatting features for specific business fields, as well as proofread and edit material in a timely manner.
· Identify voice inflection – realizing emphasized material, breaks in dictated sentences, etc.
NOTE: Errors are not tolerated in business. Therefore, be sure to proofread all work before submitting to instructor. Errors in e-mail information are also not tolerated. In addition, be sure to proof copy when it comes out of the printer for overall appearance as well as typos.
Grading:
1/3 -- Homework -- Chapter Tapes (document production)
1/3 -- Language Boost Quizzes (from Grammar Pitfalls)
1/3 -- Final Exam

will not be accepted if not complete – No partial credit granted. Each Chapter must be complete when handed in.
Save lessons/assignments on disk as exercises may build from previous assignment(s).
Assignments will not be accepted if they do not have the following heading.
