  • Installed Atomic Absorption machine that talks to computers and projects the data on large screen in front of the class for every one to see. A camera next to the machine also displays the machine on the screen.
  • Installed rapid digester to analyze plant samples.
  • Established the Agricultural Science as a lap top curriculum ,  
  • Converted the soil testing lab into a Lap top room with 24 hook up stations. 
  • Established the Instructional Soil Testing Lab , 
  • Established the GPS/GIS Technology Lab, 
  • Established the farmers field day at SUNY Morrisville.

  • Developed the selection system based on points  for the scholarship applicants.
  • Authored a brochure for all the scholarships in the school of Ag and Natural Resources.

  • Organized the honor luncheon for the honor students and the faculty. 
  • Got agronomy club approved as a chapter of Student Activity Subdivision of American Society of Agronomy,
  • Raised about $4,000 to cover the cost of 8 students to attend the national meeting of ASA at Indianapolis, Indiana (Nov. 9 through 14, 2002)
  • Raised about $5,000 to sponsor 8 students to attend the national meeting of ASA at Salt Lake City Utah,
  • Initiated the professional meetings of Agronomy Club where the students make presentations on their projects using lap top computers and power point software. Attendance in these meetings is about 100, 
  • established Agronomy Club at SUNY Morrisville.
  • Organized the regional meeting of SAS - ASA,for the first time at MWSC campus, and more than 150 people (15 universities) attended the meeting.

• Organized workshops on Maximum Economic Yield for more than 65 farmers, fertilizer dealers, chemical company representatives, and seeds company representatives.
• Taught several one credit hour courses on soil testing, Maximum Economic Yield as it pertains to soil fertility, agriculture chemicals, and soil pollution to adult audience including farmers, fertilizer dealers, and gardeners.
• Advised farmers on nutrient management related problems as part of community service related duties.
• Supervised 13 farm projects on soil fertility that students carried out on private farms.
• Taught a soil fertility course (4 credits) each year to a student population of about 85% practicing farmers or those with farm background.

• Ph.D. research project: Zn chlorosis in dryland beans at San Juan Basin in Colorado,
• Soil Fertility & MEY Research at MWSC: Pursued 9 applied field research projects on soil fertility and maximum economic yield (MEY).
• Clay Mineralogy research during M.S.:Chemical and mineralogical analysis of selected rocks and soils in Lebanon. X-ray diffraction was used to identify different types of minerals in rocks collected from different geological ages.
• Environmental Soil Chemistry during Post Doc.:Sorption of organic pollutants on soils and sediments.
• Geostatistical research: To determine the spatial variability in soil fertility of MEY Research station.

• Received a grant from the ministry of labor of government of Pakistan to work on several projects at Gomal University in summer 2007. In June-July 2007, the following projects at Gomal University were completed:

  • Wrote a grant proposal on date palm research and commercial production center (2.5 million dollars) for submission to the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan for funding

  • Wrote a grant proposal on fish culture research and commercial production center (1.5 million dollars) for submission to the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan for funding.

  • Introduced GPS/GIS as a research tool at Gomal University

  • Developed GPS/GIS maps of Gomal University research farm

  • Developed GPS/GIS maps of Gomal University campus

  • Co advised a Ph.D. student in his research

• Received a grant from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan to work at Gomal University during summer 2008 as a visiting scholar.

• Worked as a volunteer consultant that was funded by U.S. Agency for International Development and administered by ACDI/VOCA non governmental organizations. The following projects were completed:

  • Increased the efficiency of the lab by building extraction and washing system

  • Introduced the concept of routine analysis

  • Trained employee in soil sampling, chemical analysis, and recommendations

  • Introduced the check sample concept to increase accuracy and precision of testing

  • Improved the operation and organization of the lab
