Committee.
- Worked on getting a new position in Ag. Business and wrote the job
description for this new position.
- Facility development projects:
- Installed Atomic Absorption machine that talks to computers and projects
the data on large screen in front of the class for every one to see. A
camera next to the machine also displays the machine on the screen.
- Installed rapid digester to analyze plant samples.
- Established the Agricultural Science as a lap top curriculum

- Converted the soil testing lab into a Lap top room with 24 hook up stations.
- Established the Instructional Soil Testing Lab ,
- Established the GPS/GIS Technology Lab,
- Established the farmers field day at SUNY Morrisville.

dealers, chemical company representatives, and seeds company representatives.
- Taught several one credit hour courses on soil testing, Maximum Economic Yield as it
pertains to soil fertility, agriculture chemicals, and soil pollution to adult audience including
farmers, fertilizer dealers, and gardeners.
- Advised farmers on nutrient management related problems as part of community service
related duties.
- Supervised 13 farm projects on soil fertility that students carried out on private farms.
- Taught a soil fertility course (4 credits) each year to a student population of about 85%
practicing farmers or those with farm background.

- Ph.D. research project: Zn chlorosis in dryland beans at San Juan Basin in Colorado,
- Soil Fertility & MEY Research at MWSC: Pursued 9 applied field research projects on soil
fertility and maximum economic yield (MEY).
- Clay Mineralogy research during M.S.:Chemical and mineralogical analysis of selected
rocks and soils in Lebanon. X-ray diffraction was used to identify different types of
minerals in rocks collected from different geological ages.
- Environmental Soil Chemistry during Post Doc.:Sorption of organic pollutants on soils and
sediments.
- Geostatistical research: To determine the spatial variability in soil fertility of MEY Research
station.

Received a grant from the ministry of labor of government of
Pakistan to work on several projects at Gomal University in summer 2007. In
June-July 2007, the following projects at Gomal University were completed:

Wrote a grant proposal on date palm research and commercial
production center (2.5 million dollars) for submission to the Higher
Education Commission in Pakistan for funding

Wrote a grant proposal on fish culture research and
commercial production center (1.5 million dollars) for submission to the
Higher Education Commission in Pakistan for funding.

Introduced GPS/GIS as a research tool at Gomal University
