GENERAL
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This short course is an introduction to green entrepreneurship for Junior and Senior high school students. During this week-long event, students will participate in daily field trips and hands-on activities, exploring the latest trends in the growing green market such as underwater turbines, wave, solar, wind, hydroelectric, and biomass power, eco-friendly clothing, green cars, as well as new “green” opportunities in more conventional ventures including dairy farming, aquaculture, horticulture, and waste management. Students will explore the steps necessary for creating a start-up venture in these emerging environmental fields through fast-paced, hands-on activities that highlight creativity and innovation, team building techniques, research techniques, and presentation skills.
